Riceland Foods' Mark Holt Appointed to Trade Advisory Committee

Mark Holt, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, was recently appointed to the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee (ATAC) for Trade in Grains, Feed, Oilseeds and Planting Seeds.

Details

Last week, U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai appointed Mark Holt, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Riceland Foods, to the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees (ATAC) for Trade in Grains, Feed, Oilseeds and Planting Seeds.

The ATACs provide technical advice and guidance from the perspective of their specific product sectors. They consist of a select group of trade experts that provide advice and information to the government on the administration of trade policy, including enforcement of existing trade agreements and negotiating objectives for new trade agreements.

“These advisory committees are critical to inform policy makers on what is happening in the real world”, said Kevin McGilton, Chief of Staff, Vice President of Government Affairs for Riceland Foods, “Mark will do a great job communicating the technical issues the Riceland team and the industry face when trading rice around the world.”
