Riceland Foods Donates 42,500 lbs. of Rice to the Arkansas Foodbank for Rice Day

Riceland Foods donated 42,500 lbs. of long-grain white rice to the Arkansas Foodbank in honor of Rice Day. The donation is the equivalent of 428,400 servings of cooked rice, providing much-needed support to Arkansans across the state.

STUTTGART, Ark. (September 19, 2024): Yesterday, Riceland Foods donated 42,500 lbs. of long-grain white rice to the Arkansas Foodbank in honor of Rice Day. The donation is the equivalent of 428,400 servings of cooked rice, providing much-needed support to Arkansans across the state.  

Riceland CEO Kevin McGilton shared how the farmer-owned cooperative is committed to supporting food resources to help combat food insecurity in Arkansas.  

"Riceland is proud to support the Arkansas Foodbank's mission of finding pathways to connect people, resources, and food to reach those in need," McGilton said. "Our mission is to help our farmers feed the world sustainably, and our farmer-members work hard to grow quality rice. We are honored to serve communities across Arkansas with this donation because, at Riceland, we believe in the power of forging a community where everyone can cultivate and thrive together."
