Kevin McGilton, Chief of Staff, Vice President Government Affairs, traveled to Washington, D.C. April 25 - 27 with the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce. Area mayors, county judges, and business leaders received an update from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on federal initiatives to improve transportation, infrastructure, and the work force.

The group also met with Senators Cotton, Boozman, and Congressman Crawford. Area leaders asked the Delegation to support efforts to improve the Jonesboro airport and the new industrial park.

McGilton took the opportunity to seek support for an improved safety net in the farm bill, and improvements in the H2A program.
