After months of deliberation, the 2025 budget reconciliation package was signed into law on July 4, marking a significant milestone for agriculture and rural communities nationwide.

We were pleased to see that many of our cooperative’s top priorities were included in the final legislation, demonstrating a clear recognition of the urgent needs facing our industry.

Overall, this bill delivers generational reforms across agriculture, tax, labor, and conservation— including long-overdue updates to safety net programs critical to the long-term stability of our farmer members.

While the Farm Bill is still pending, the progress made in this legislation gives us reason to be optimistic about the potential passage of what some are calling a "Skinny Farm Bill" later this fall.

As always, we will continue to advocate for the issues that matter most to our members and will keep you informed as the legislative process unfolds.
