Noah Noble
From summer intern to Manager Trainee, Noah Noble’s journey at Riceland Foods shows how opportunity, mentorship, and dedication can shape a meaningful career.

Noah Noble’s journey at Riceland Foods began with the 2024 Summer Internship Experience. What started as a conversation with a Riceland employee quickly turned into a transformative experience. After taking the skills he learned back to school, Noah returned to Riceland full-time after graduation and has since been promoted.
“I didn’t really know much about Riceland at first,” Noah recalls. “But I was interested in learning what went on in the rice mill. When I started, I couldn’t believe it. I came in thinking I’d be doing a job, and instead I received professional development opportunities and learned how to grow both personally and professionally. Within a month, I felt like a different person.”
Noah points to the program’s focus on professional development as key to his growth. “The most valuable lesson I learned was simply showing up every day and being my best self. KC Capers (Sr. Manager, Training and Culture) taught us to lead, to respect others, and to present ourselves authentically. That stuck with me, not just at work, but also in my personal life.”
The internship also strengthened his presentation and communication skills. “During my capstone project, we did dry runs over and over. By the time I got back to school, I had five or six presentations to give, and I felt calm. My professors were amazed at how confident I was.”
After graduation, he was hired into a supervisor role in the parboil department. Within months, a Manager Trainee position opened at the terminal where he’d interned, and he was able to step into the role. Today, his day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing operations, managing paperwork, and ensuring smooth plant operations.
“This internship shaped my career path in ways I couldn’t have imagined,” he says. “If I hadn’t done it, I don’t know where I’d be today. It not only prepared me for this job but also helped me grow personally. My mentor, who is now my immediate boss, has been someone I look up to constantly.”
For Noah, the decision to return to Riceland was about more than a job; it was about culture. “I wanted to be around the people I worked with during my internship. Everyone I met genuinely loves being here, and it shows. You’re surrounded by people who want to be your friend and work alongside you. It’s fun, it’s engaging, and it’s a place you can grow.”
Noah’s advice for those considering an internship is simple: “Apply and apply yourself. Give 100% to everything you do. There’s so much you can learn here, and it’s worth it.”
His journey from intern to Manager Trainee highlights the opportunities Riceland provides to grow, learn, and take on new challenges. We’re proud to have Noah on the team and excited to see his continued growth.
